Drop a hazard
Seen a low wire, a tight bridge, works or a closure? Click the map to drop a pin and tell us what you saw. It is sent to HAULR to review, and a copy stays on this device.
Reports are reviewed. We look at each one before anything is shown to anyone. If sending fails, the pin stays on this device and you can email support@haulr.co.nz.

Height: what the Rule says
- Up to 4.3 m is the standard limit, including load restraints.
- 4.3 to 5 m: no permit for height alone, but you need written permission from the owner of any obstruction you can’t clear, and, at a level crossing that is not on a State Highway, written approval from the access provider if you are higher than the electrified railway safe-height sign.
- Over 4.8 m: the deck must be under 1.3 m above the road.
- Over 5 m: overdimension permit, plus written permission from overhead wire owners.
- Pilots for height: the Rule has no pilot requirement based on height alone. Your permit can add pilots (Rule 6.52(2)(c)), so check it.
- Route limits: hover a town for its bridge, tunnel and motorway heights (Auckland Harbour Bridge 4.8 m, Wellington Motorway 4.8 m, Lyttelton Tunnel 4.27 m).

Times come from the Rule for the area you hover. Your permit adds conditions on top of the Rule, such as routes and times. Follow both. Find your category.
What is a city area?
Rule 6.20 names 14 urban areas where the weekday peak-hour limits for Category 1 and 2, and the city-area times for Category 3, apply. Auckland and Wellington have exact limits written into the Rule: Auckland between Albany and Drury, Wellington south of McKay’s Crossing on SH1 and Te Marua on SH2. For every other city area, such as Napier, your permit conditions confirm where it starts and ends on your route, or you can ring OPIA on 0800 683 774. Rule 6.20
